First flagship cycle route for Belfast opens
Transport Minister Michelle McIlveen has announced the opening of the first of three £700,000 bicycle routes in Belfast
The scheme linking Alfred Street from Ormeau Avenue to Chichester Street was opened in time for Easter.
Minister McIlveen said: “This continuous route is of a high quality and provides greater protection for everyone using the bicycle to make journeys across the city.
The SPS 2 Twenty bollard was chosen to be used on these schemes to give a greater amount of visibility and protection to the cyclist.
The added benefit of quick and easy installation made it the perfect choice for the client.
