SignPost Solutions Launch Their New Lattix Design Toolkit

In the embryonic years of Passive Safety it was critically important that any sign structures were designed correctly and with an adequate safety factor because a failure during an R/T/A could have had serious or even devastating consequences for the development of the concept.

It was therefore an easy decision for Signpost Solutions at that stage to undertake all such designs in house; a decision that has been proven over the last eight years by zero injuries during the 83 R/T/A’s and over 15,000 masts on site and even surviving the huge storm of 2007.

However, with a market clearly now in tune with Passive Safety, Signpost Solutions have developed a Design Tool Kit for designers to carry out detailed designs for Lattix assemblies. The system is ‘windows’ based, compliant with all National Standards and can be output to any windows based software to incorporate into B/O/M’s etc.

Signpost Solutions were keen to provide end users with as much detailed advice as possible and it is therefore able to generate very specific designs to reduce cost.

Other features include foundation details and an option for ‘Widespan’ the unique channel product that potentially reduces the number of Lattix masts required to support a sign.

Users who have given the system a test run have commented that it is very user friendly and an ideal reference tool.

The tool kit, which is free to design engineers, requires registration as you would expect and is an indispensable tool for all traffic and sign designers.
